IDAHO FALLS, Idaho -- Rebecca Ellen Gleason Brown, 41, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, former Logan, Utah, and Preston, Idaho, resident, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, in Idaho Falls from an automobile accident. Rebecca was born in Grand Junction, Colo., on April 6, 1963, to Warren and Marilyn Gleason. She moved with her family to Georgetown, Idaho, in 1966 and then to Preston in 1969 where she attended public schools, later spending one year in American Falls, Idaho, in 1980, then back to Preston where she graduated.
She attended West Valley Community College, receiving an associate's degree. She later attended Utah State University continuing her search for education. She was married to and divorced John Monson II. Later she married the love of her life, Clinton Wade Brown, on Oct. 2, 1998, in Logan. They were sealed in the Jordan River LDS Temple on Jan. 29, 2000.
Becca, as she is known affectionately by her husband, was a loving and caring wife, mother and friend. Becca loved all those around her, especially those people who were in her care as a Certified Nurses Aid, and brought joy and love to the patients she cared for both at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Logan and later at Idaho Falls Care Center in Idaho Falls.
Becca was very talented and loved to sing and play the piano for the patients in her care and was often asked to do so by them. She always went the extra mile for all those in her care, including her husband. Becca loved her children, John and Jacob Monson, and wished the best for them as all great mothers do. She was the most adventurous soul; she loved to do exciting things with her husband which included, but were not limited to, river rafting, parasailing and riding wild rides at theme parks, etc. Becca was full of life and she lived it to the utmost in all that she did.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She was also a member of the Idaho Falls 10th Ward Choir -- singing was her passion as well as her love.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her loving husband and best friend, Clinton Wade Brown of Idaho Falls; children, John (Mary) Monson and Jacob Monson of Helena, Mont.; father and stepmother, Warren and Dawna Gleason of Preston; brothers and sisters, Philip Gleason of Orem, Utah, Carroll Haddock of Price, Utah, Kristine Hecker of Orem, David Gleason of Phelan, Calif., James Gleason of American Fork, Utah, Samuel Gleason of Preston, Janette Holly Sharp of Cub River, Idaho, Daniel Gleason of Mapleton, Utah, Sandra Bennion of Beaverton, Ore., Benjamin Gleason of Ft. Mill, S.C., Patience Udall of Stevenson, Wash., Adam Gleason of Draper, Utah, Kimberly Davis of Layton, Utah, Brian Gleason of Heber, Utah, Annette Hepworth of Logan, Jonathan Gleason of Logan and Sarah Gleason of Salt Lake City; and their companions and the many nieces and nephews that loved her so dearly.
