ROY – Marie White Richins, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 2, 1923 in Preston, Idaho to Archie Thomas and Verna Caroline Walker White.
Marie married Max E. Richins July 28, 1942 in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Marie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various positions.
She was a devoted wife, and loving mother. In the community she was known for her service and willingness to take on any challenge. She enjoyed people and was generous with her time in helping them, she was very nurturing.
Marie loved to square dance, oil paint, and had a love for music, playing the piano and organ. She enjoyed spending summers in Roy and winters in Washington, Utah.
Surviving are her children: Carolyn McKean of Plain City, UT; Judy (Michael) Patterson of Eden, UT; Tom (Laurie) Richins of Taylor, UT; Kim (Kelly) Richins of Deweyville, UT; 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her parents, one brother and sister, granddaughter Jodie, and son-in-law Larry.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy. A viewing will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
Interment: Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT.
