Ogden – Wilda Eliza Christensen Hardman, 92, passed away on October 3, 2012. She was born July 1, 1920 in Preston, Idaho to Ferdinand Frederick and Irene Eliza Jensen Christensen. She married Glen M. Hardman in 1943; he preceded her in death in May of 2000.
She was raised on a homestead in Mink Creek, Idaho (near Preston). She met Glen during WWII in Hawthorne, Calif. They lived in Bethany Missouri, Pocatello Idaho, Salt Lake City Utah, Tuscarora Nevada, Idaho Falls Idaho and Ogden Utah.
Wilda was everybody's mother – her sons, their wives, her grandkids, great-grandkids and all the neighbor kids who hung out at her house. She was loving, kind, and an amazing cook. She loved to walk and she loved traveling and golfing with her husband, Glen. She believed that everything she was given in her life was a blessing.
Wilda is survived by her two sons, Maury (Jean) of Pocatello and Rick (Bonnie) of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren, Heidi, Dustin, Toni and Cory; also four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at the Mink Creek Cemetery in Preston, Idaho on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 1p.m.
