PRESTON — Dixie Joyce Pond Carlson, 55, passed away Jan. 28, 2013, at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston. She was born May 13, 1957, in Preston, Idaho, the daughter of William D. and Joyce Draper Pond. She married Gary Glenn Carlson on Sept. 6, 1974, in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized Sept. 22, 2012, in the Logan LDS Temple.

She enjoyed playing the piano and flute. She was a drum majorette in high school. She loved Christmas decorations and was an excellent home decorator. Her yard and her flower gardens were always immaculate.

She worked at King’s and had many friends.

She loved her grandkids and spending time with them and her family.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a great knowledge of the gospel.

She is survived by her husband Gary Carlson of Preston; two daughters and one son, Mindy Hunt of Preston, Cody K. (Tiffany) Carlson of Preston and Ashley (Paul) Taylor of Syracuse, Utah; seven grandchildren; father Bill Pond of Preston; two brothers and one sister, David Pond of Preston, Bret (Trudy) Pond of Honeyville, Utah, and Lisa (Jody) McDaniels of Buhl, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her mother and brother Karl Pond.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in the Preston South Stake Center, 55 E. 1st South in Preston, Idaho, with Bishop Quinn Corbridge conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston, and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the stake center. Interment will be in the Lewiston Cemetery in Lewiston, Utah.
