LEWISTON — Monta Rogers Mendenhall Brown, 74, beloved mother, grandmother and friend was called home March 29, 2013. Monta was born in Lewiston, Utah, on May 11, 1939, to Elmer and Ruby Hokanson Rogers.
Monta was retired from Utah State University, a member of the Lewiston 4th Ward and enjoyed her family of four children, Ramona Spackman (Robert Low) of Franklin, Idaho, Rose (Robert) Hernandez of North Hollywood, Calif., Richard (Tammy) Mendenhall of Preston, Idaho, and Ruben (Cindy) Mendenhall of Kent, Wash.
She is also survived by a brother, Scott Rogers of Lewiston, Utah, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Glenn Rogers, and sisters Nola Cole and Elma Bay Newman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Webb Mortuary, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston, Idaho. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in the Dayton Cemetery in Idaho.
