Ronald Carl Bingham, age 53, began his mission on the other side of the veil on July 1, 2013 after a rare reaction to chemotherapy for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He passed peacefully while surrounded by his sweetheart and children. Ron was born August 15, 1959 to Carl W. and Joyce Nelson Bingham in Preston, Idaho. He served as a full-time LDS missionary in the Arizona Holbrook Navajo Mission. He married his best friend Kim Annette Grunder on April 22, 1983 in the Logan, Utah Temple. After graduating from BYU in computer science, he was employed as a software engineer for a few smaller companies before joining Novell where he contributed his expertise for the last 20 years. He is respected and loved by all who knew him, whether it be family, friends or co-workers.
Ron loved spending time with his family, making precious memories through innumerable camping trips and soccer tournaments. He loved supporting his children in all of their endeavors, cheering them on at recitals, games and in their scholastic achievements. He taught by example, always treating others with respect and kindness. He showed his children of his great love for his sincere and beautiful wife by often bringing her flowers, writing sweet love notes and always greeting her with a kiss. One of his most cherished moments was becoming a grandpa.
Ron thoroughly enjoyed working with the youth in the LDS Church, helping them to strengthen their testimonies of the Savior and preparing them for missionary work. He loved serving in the church in whatever callings he was given. In addition to being a devoted and hard-working husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend, he had a gift for bringing laughter and smiles to those around him.
Ron leaves behind his darling wife and five caring children: Brandon (Ginger), Teran, Ryan, Tristyn and Kaylin, his adoring grandchildren, Jaxson and Bree, his parents, siblings Shirleen (Jeff) Gardner, Elaine (Skip) Cederquist, Barbara (Bill) Kershaw, Howard (Chris) Bingham, Diane (Val) Nielsen, Janet (Dan) Davis, Karen (Gene) Godfrey, Neal (Colette) Bingham and many friends and relatives.
