Lonny Carl Pickens passed away on July 12, 2013. Lonny was born on March 26, 1964, to Ida Mae and Leonard Pickens in Pocatello, Idaho, where he grew up and graduated from Highland High School, then went right into learning the carpentry trade. His love, talent of working with wood came from when he was a kid growing up, where he learned the craft from his dad. Later on, he started his own company and became an accomplished finishing carpenter. If you look hard, you can see some of his accomplishments all over Pocatello and Preston.

When he moved to Preston, Idaho, in most of his spare time you could see him hunting and fishing, most often with his good friend of many years Jimmy Doughtery.

Lonny was preceded in death by both parents, Ida Mae Pickens-Hull and Leonard Pickens. Survivors include a sister, Deana Bullington; two nephews, Jeff Bullington, Gary Bullington; an uncle David Fiegel; and family members in Silver Lake Wisc.; with several aunts, uncles and cousins in Pocatello, Idaho.

Lonny’s request was that upon his death he was to be cremated and his ashes spread over the Cub River Canyon in Preston, Idaho, where he resided for most of his adult life; hunting and fishing. No services were held.
