BANIDA, IDAHO — Jack Miles Geddes, 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Banida, Idaho, surrounded by family. He was born on March 27, 1952, in Preston, Idaho, to Hugh James and Sarah Miles Geddes. He married Cristy Jean Hall on June 16, 1972, in Preston. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.
Jack loved the outdoors. He loved to be out hunting or fishing and had many memories spending time with family doing both. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved teaching the 12-yearold scouts, a calling he held for many years.
He is survived by his children, Casey Jack Geddes, of Preston; Benjamin Hugh (Kellie) Geddes, of Connell, Wash.; Tricia Ann Geddes, of Pocatello, Idaho; Chad Ryan (Trisha) Geddes, of Mapleton, Ore.; and Candice (James) Simmonds, of Preston; 16 grandchildren, and his siblings Carol (Richard) Pilgrim, of Woods Cross, Utah; Miles (Josephine) Geddes, of Banida; Jed (Ladawn) Geddes, of Preston; and Phillip (Judy) Geddes, of Banida. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Cristy.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec, 30, in the Winder Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Alan Atkinson conducting. A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
