When I was a kid (50's-60's) & probably even a decade later there was a Dewey Orchard on the south side of the Dewey Road, just before the road curve up to the canal bridge.
A possible source for info on Kjersgaard/Kiersgaard or Kesgard, and Hansens might be Ruth Lyons' books, "Valley of Plenty" or "The Village that Grew". It's been yrs since I've read them & neither have indexes. "Valley of Plenty" is abt her homesteading ancestoral family, Edson & Sarah Bishop, & they too were west of present-day Emmett. "The Village that Grew" is abt Emmett & she relied heavily on Mills' earlier work.
I included Katie Kesgard in my "Homesteading Women" story -
