Duane David Neal, 88, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on September 13, 2011. He was born January 2, 1923 in Stone Idaho; son of Fredrick Charles Neal and Christina Daley Neal.

Duane graduated from Bear River High School in 1940. He married Maxine Hunt on September 12, 1944. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 21, 1964. Duane was a lifelong member of the LDS church and served in several callings. He worked at the Navy Arsenal, Utah Wholesale Grocers, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

Duane is survived by daughters: Cheryl (Ken) Smith, Lael (Gerald) Smock, and son Dale (Sherry) Neal, 10 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine who passed away May 16, 2011.

Family will meet with friends Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Services will be held Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior to services also held at the Mortuary.

Interment Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
