Malad, Idaho… Marion J. Price, 90, longtime Malad resident, passed away on Sunday April 13, 2014, surrounded by his family. Marion was born on April 1, 1924 in Malad, Idaho, a son of Josiah and Beatrice Smith Jones Price. He married Roberta Ann Willie May 21, 1947 in Malad, Idaho. The married was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Church of Jesus of Latter-day-Saints Temple on September 14, 1948. They were blessed with four children, two girls and two boys. Marion served in World War II as a Medic in the 65th Infantry Division. He belonged to the American Legion Post 0065-Malad, Idaho. Marion was a custodian for the Malad School District for twenty-one years, but his true passion was farming and working in his yard.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and served in many positions.
He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta of 66 years, four children, Ann Shaleen (Mark) Evans of Bullhead City, Arizona, Leslie M. (Peggy Jo) Price of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Robert Neil of Ogden, Utah and Jana Lee (Tony) Robinson of Corinne, Utah and nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Pearl Beatrice Price Kelly, Merle Price Goucher, Carol Jean Price Bake, Shirley Mae Price Fry, and seven brothers, Earl Lewis Price, John Jones Price, Ralph Daniel Price, Leonard Dale Price, Melvin Jones Price, Stanley Jones Price and Ronald Jones Price.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the Malad LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 200 W. 400 N. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N.
