Classification: Query
Surnames: Walsh
Thomas Walsh was born about 1839 and in 1861 joined the 6th NY Inf. Co. F in New York city age 22 he was discharged in 63 as Corpl. He served also in the LA Cavalry Co I organized at Tompkinsdville. His pension records show he was wounded at Pleasant Hill in 1864 noting he was shot in the left side. Later in 1890 Thomas was found in American Falls, Idaho and requested pension from his CW service. The pension said he was wounded at Wilson hill in Western LA and was shot in the left shoulder rendering his arm useless. By 1899 Thomas removed to Snohomish Co, Everett WA where he died 1/14/1900. I find no information that Thomas had any family either in Idaho or WA and would love to hear from anyone researching this surname in Idaho. We are working on a CW project for Snohomish Co. WA and he is buried at our Everett GAR site. Please contact me at KZWestre61@aol.com.
