MARY ALICE ACKER Warsaw, Ill. - Mrs. Mary Alice ACKER, 85, of Warsaw died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 11, 1990) in Montebello Manor exteded care center in Hamilton, where she had lived for three months. Mrs. Acker was born Feb. 25, 1904, near Mendon, a daughter of William F. and Jennie Petticord Shaffer. She married Lawrence Goldman, July 27, 1920 in Kohoka, Mo. He died Jan. 20, 1945. She later married Olen ACKER Aug. 3, 1946, in Rushville. He died April 5, 1967. Mrs. Acker had been employed early in life as a seamstress by Osgood's Garment Factory in Warsaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James (Marjorie) Neally of Warsaw; a brother, William Shaffer of Coatsburg; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, a grandson and a daughter. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lamport Funeral Home in Warsaw by the Rev. R.M. Lukoskie. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Saturday with family meeting friends from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw.
