I'm not sure if this will help you but my Ulrich Schullian married a Maria Anna Lock in Groul, Wurttemberg, Germany. He moved, with some of the family, to Adams Co., IL after her death. This was her second marriage and I am not aware if this was her maiden name, or that of her second husband. Since families had a tendency to immigrate together you might try this location for a possible German root. If I stumble across anything in my records I'll send to you.
