I am hoping someone in Alexander County can give me clear directions to where exactly Pigeon Roost is located. I would like to visit the Henderson Cemetery, and the creek that runs through Pigeon Roost. I'd like to pay my respects and take photos. My late great-aunt, Nellie Henderson Williamson, daughter of George and Sarah, gave birth to a baby after her mother's death. She was only 12 years old at the time. Terrified, she threw it in the creek that ran near her father's house. Her brothers tried to find the poor baby, but were unsuccessful. She had a son named Elmer when she was 15, whose father was a man named Oscar Bennett. Elmer took his step-father, Lonnie Williamson's, name when they married. Does anyone know what became of Oscar Bennett?
