Hello-sorry it has been a few years since you posted! Were you Ted's daughter? Barney Henderson and my Grandpa, John, were brothers. Ted came to visit my dad back in 2003 several months before he died. I remember him visiting my Grandma and Grandpa's when we were down there from Mt. Vernon. I've never found any proof of the claim about formerly being a Green, but my younger sister, Joan, wrote a report about it in grade school. A DNA test would be a great way to find out, and also to get answers to the story of our being of Native American ancestry.
