His wife Mary was b. abt. 1886 in Illinois as were both her parents. Children, Emma. b. 1908; Theodore, b. 1909 (7 mos. old).
Coincidentally or not, in 1910, living 1055 North Hermitage Avenue, were Joseph Straszewski, b. abt. 1852 in German Poland, naturalized, immigrated in 1881, with his wife Rose, b. abt. 1859, German Poland; they had been married 33 years. Rose had borne 14 children, 7 were alive in 1910. Children living with them were Magdalena, b. abt 1893 in Illinois who was a PIE BAKER; Edward, b. abt. 1894 in Illinois, who was an errand boy; and Albert, b. abt. 1901 in Illinois.
In 1900, Joseph and Rosy were living at 485 Hermitage Street with their children, who included Celia who was a baker and Theodore, who is indicated b. 1884; other children were Louisa, Helen, Maggie, Edward, and Albert. This sure looks like the family of Theodore Strazewski! Heritage Quest indexed the name as Stritavski; the enumerator wrote Stritowski.
In the 1920 Census, Theodore and Mary Strazewski were living at 4057 Richmond 27-Ward Chicago. Theodore was b. abt. 1881 in Illinois and was a pie baker. Living with the family was Joseph Kellerman, brother-in-law. Children born at that time were Emma, b. abt 1908; Theodore, b. abt. 1910; Mary, b. abt. 1913; William, b. abt. 1915; Rose, b. abt. 1916; Celia, b. abt. 1919.
According to his WWI draft registration card, Theodore Stanley Strazewski was born September 14, 1885 and was a pie baker for the Moody and Waters Company at 1107 W. Congress. He was 5'8", medium build, blue eyes and light brown hair.
