I am trying to find John Lillard Garriott's (b. abt 1775) parents. I belive his father was born abt 1740 in the Madison or Culpeper, VA areas. John was married to Elizabeth Cornelious on Dec 30 1801 in Madison, VA.
There were Lillards and Garriotts living in that area during that time. John's middle name is Lillard so I'm guessing it might be his mothers maiden name or his father's mother's maiden name. If you have any information that might help in the search please let me know.
