Thanks so much for your detailed answer. I am aware of this Robert B. Downen and have him documented well in the midwest, however, I can find no connection to him and the Robert B. Downen who was born in Mississippi. Jan Green, who I consider to be the authority on the William Downen Family (in which this Robert B. Downen falls) vehemently denies that these could be the same persons.

I will carefully check your material against the Indiana Robert, so your answer will be used. I have entered your answer below, and my additions are on the right in CAPS.
