If you ever are in Lincoln or Omaha and have some extra time, its 2 hours from Omaha to Geneva and about 1 hour from Lincoln. I took pictures of some of the Watson stones in the Cherry Point cemetery including the one of Thomas and Sarah Shores Watson.
The picture you mentioned of Thomas and Sarah Shores Watson seated holding a bible is the same one I have.
Thomas did marry a second time to Sarah Jane Miller whom he married in 1903. There is no mention of her having any children by Mr. Miller. I do not have an obituary for Thomas or either of his wives. I do have one for Jane Patchett Watson.
As you probably know, they seemed to use the middle name or a nickname instead of the first name for many of women in the family. Martha Jane, my mothers mother, was called Mattie and when she died, that was the name that was put on the stone. Mother sent a picture of the stone to Vivian Bennett who wrote back and told mother that Mattie's real name was Martha Jane and mother was floored as she had never heard anyone call her that. Ella was Rose Ella, Mary Virginia was the only one that was called by her first name. Aunt Jennie was Jennie Emma or Emma Jennie Newman, Aunt Lillie was Sarah Elizabeth. You mention Owen's wife as Ada Estella and mother called her Aunt Stella and Uncle Asbury's wife went by Jane but her name is Hannah Jane in the census records.
