James Sissell dies Thursday

The funeral services of James Sissell, 94 years of age, was held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church, Rev. E. E. Neumeyer, the pastor, officiating.

James sissel was born in Zanesville, Ohio, July 16, 1830. He came to Indiana in 1857 where he married Miss Mary McNealey and came to Kansas at the beginning of the Civil War. He was the father of seven children, five boys surviving him.

He has been a faithful member of the Methodist church and a regular attendant until the last ten years in which time he has been unable to attend.
