Andrew M. Carter born 1827 in Adams County, OH. 1st marriage was to Cienda Oten and they had three children that I know of...Nellie Gertrude who married Abraham Lincoln Hews; Jennie Rebecca who married Frances M. Barlow; and another daughter who married a Kyle in Peoria County. After Cienda died, Andrew married Martha Ruark in Fulton County. Together they had seven children...Andrew Jackson (1871) who married Hester H. Riley; Fannie Estella who married William Williams and Robert Williams; Alexander Albert (Bertie) (1875) who drown at the age of 8; William Harvey (1878) who married Sylvia; James Thomas (1880) who married Addie Mae Engle; Frank Henry who married Nina Palmer; and Gertrude G. who married a Lent and then an Anderson. Andrew M. served in the War between the States for three weeks. I have his pension records, death cert and obit. Trying to find Carter connections in Fulton County, other Carter brothers and sisters.
