Need to actually see the census, and find their ages. Clayton Tiffen Hauskins should be 22 in 1840, and have one female child, age 2, my ggrandmother, Mary Eugenia Hauskins. If William is his brother, should be a similar age. Here is the family of Clayton Tiffen Hauskins and Eliza Clementine Taylor, you might find it interesting, and the names could be useful, note there is a William Humphrey Hauskins. Eliza Taylor's father was Humphrey Taylor, often referred to as William Humphrey, though he never signed it that way, even on his will. Could this be a combination of the first names of the fathers of Clayton Tiffen Hauskins and his wife?
