Howell family in mid-1800s (James H. and Susan)

Posted: 13 Jul 2013 3:08PM GMT
Classification: Query
Surnames: Howell
Does this family look familiar to anyone? LOTS of Howells in Illinois in this time period. James MAY be James Harrison Howell, but not sure.
James H. Howell, with a wife Susan – (she’s the right age) moving about all over the country:
1840: Jersey, Illinois – may be him?
1850: Forest Lake, Susquehanna, PA
1860: Benton, Lake, IL
1870: Kenosha, WI

This is the family in 1850: [ch b. NY or NJ, or a mix, depending on different census returns)
James H Howell 32, farmer, val 12,000, b. NY
Susan Howell 30, b. NJ
Eliza J Howell 10
Joseph B Howell 9
William H Howell 7
Louisa Howell 6
Calvin Howell 4
Eugene Howell 5
Isabel Howell 3
Caroline Howell 2
Susan Howell 1
Ida was born in 1852

I'll appreciate any help or hints!
