The home was owned and operated by Eva Joyce, and was near downtown Rochelle, a block north of the phone company. Yes, it was an old victorian home, transformed into a nursing home. It was privately owned. It was still open in 1969, may have closed early 1970. Eva closed the home and left Rochelle, probably to be near her son. Any records would most likely be at the Ogle County Court House. The Rochelle News Leader newspaper may have archived information, also.
