In 1860, Amelia PARNELL was listed in the Census with her parent, Thomas PARNELL and Catherine BEST PARNELL in Princeville, Peoria County, IL. Her father died in 1870, and she is listed in the 1870 Census as a servant to the DEAL family in Princeville. In 1885, Amelia Vanderkolk is in the census with a PARNELL as a sister-in-law. I am assuming this Amelia is Amelia PARNELL married to Sipke Vanderkolk. Amelia was born abt. 1854 in OH (probably Medina, OH.) Sipke was born in Holland, abt. 1848. In the NE, 1900 Census in Bone Creek Township, they are listed to have William born 1879, Vigor born 1883, Katy (Catherine) born 1887 and George 1891. Children born in Nebraska.
I find them in the NE census in that are in 1885, 1900, 1910. I found George in the 1920 NE census married to Margaret born abt. 1891, a son Russell born aboutn 1917 in NE. I didn't find any Vanderkolk in the Peoria County, Princeville, IL census when I looked in the 1870 census. I don't know if there is a connection between us or not.
