Dear Ms. Hogan:

I know that you will be deluged with requests for look ups.
Your generous offer to do such at no cost is indeed very kind.

I am very interested in the attched surnames, but I do want to compensate you for your time, it's only right and fair, not discounting your kind offer.

I am seeking the obituary of one Mary (McFadden) Meyer or Meier or possibly another spelling.

Mary was my great aunt, born in New York in (July?) 1869.
She married a "Mr. Meyer" and had one son at least: HENRY.
I'm very interested in finding her OBIT and ultimately finding Henry, her son.
I'm interested also in where she is buried (Canton IL??)
She died I believe in 1919 in or near Peoria, her mother, my great grandmother, was Grace Gallagher McFadden, She died in 1918 at St. Josephs home in Peoria, all were victims of the flu of 1917-18-19.
If I could find their obits I would be very greatful.
I was in Peoria in the fall of 97', and found the street where my Dad Clarence McFadden was born on November 27, 1909.
Did they announce births back then?
Anyway, if you find the time I'd love to know.
Please keep track of your time and costs, i really want to pay your expenses for copies and record retrieval.

Sincerely Yours,

Patrick T. McFadden

I realize this offer is from 1999, but I'm hoping you can still help me. Looking for information on marriage between William Parnell and Emma Cook on 10/16/1864. William is my great grandfather and later married twice more. Did they have any children, etc.... Emma probably died 9/14/1881 and William's next marriage was 1/12/1883 to Ada Thomas in Piatt County, Illinois. I do not have any information on this marriage either. William's third marriage to Mary Clarenda Chenoweth on 9/27/1888 in Vermilion, Illinois resulted in the birth of my grandfather, John Alvin Parnell. I'm hoping someone has something to offer. Thanks for trying!!

Hi. I have been searching for any sort of death record, obituary, or cemetery record for GEORGE EDWARDS. I believe that he died in Peoria County around 1894. I don't have a birth date, but I have been told he was from Shropshire, Eng, and came to America about 1851 or 52 with his wife Ann and five children (incliding George, Elizabeth and James). The family lived in Iowa for three years (where two more children were born), then moved to Illinois. I'd appriciate any assistance you are able to provide. Thanks much !

Winkel Family in Smithville, Illinois

Is there any possibility Brandi that you might be able to confirm that my ancestor Christian/Christopher Winkel was living at some time in Smithville near Peoria? The likely time is from after his marriage to Anna Mary Schumann in Ohio in 1858. He is to be found in Malone Township, near Delavan, Tazewell County in the 1870 Census - so it is the inbetween time that I am interested in. A History of Tazewell County suggests he was after his marriage a cooper in Smithville. I cannot find him there in the 1860 Census however. Is there any alternative records I could try? Brandi - I am thanking you in advance if you can be of any help with this matter & I will for sure be wanting to send you something in appreciation & to cover costs.

Jeff Johnson (Australia).

I am looking for the obit on Hanora Daly (may have various spellings on first and last name). According to the IL State Death Index, she died 10 July 1935 in Peoria (City).

If you have access to a Peoria City Directory, could you see if there is a James Charles and/or Anna Maria Birmingham listed in it for 1910. I know my Birmingham family was in Peoria by Christmas 1911 (my dad's 2nd cousin has a Christmas card from my family to hers that proves this). I can not find my great grandparents and their kids in the 1910 Missouri or Illinois census records. James' brothers John F. and William P. Birmingham and sister Hanora Daly were all found in the 1910 Peoria Census. All but Hanora were born in MO and they all came from O'Fallon, MO to Peoria.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
My email address is bama470@aol.com
Thanks! Laura Birmingham
