I think these are your group. These are my grandmother's people. She was Anna Rebecca "Becky" Brown. Rebecca married George Mading in 1895.

Sarah Margaret (James) Brown was a cousin to the infamous outlaw, Jesse JAMES. About the time that she and her husband moved to Missouri, Jesse began a series of bank robberies starting in Minnesota. Neighbors found out about Sarah's JAMES connection and as a result, the family could find no peace. They returned to Illinois, and and buried any discussion about her JAMES connection.
