Did you know that Peter was in the Black Hawk War, 1831-32? Well, I assume he was because he was musered out on June 16, 1832. I knew that Mary had four known children with Peter Haws.
I have foundtwi Haws that were in the same war that lived in Wayne Co., Illinois. There father was Jacob Haws from North Carolina but lived in Kentucky from 1800 until his death in 1813. Do you think they might be related?
