Lydia DONNER WALTERS is included in the pioneers of Sangamon County. She was the wife of James WALTERS who died in Indiana in 1830. Lydia brought their 9 children to Sangamon County to the DONNER family homestead near Auburn and lived out her life there. It appears that several of the children, including Noble WALTERS,lived in Sangamon and Macoupin Counties for the duration of their lives. I am interested in knowing if any descendents of James and Lydia still live in Illinois. I am a descendent of the western branch of the WALTERS family tree, through Noble WALTERS, his son David K. WALTERS and a son, 1 of 4, who moved to Ellensburg Washington in the late 1880's. If you are a descendent of James and Lydia DONNER WALTERS please contact me.
