If you go to the website: www.illinoishistory.gov/lib/newspaper.htm and type in the city you are looking for, they list all of the papers they have on microfilm. For some reason, there were no papers saved in 1895 or 1896 in Pekin.
I did find your letter to the TCGHS in their files. No one else has inquired about the Hiett's. Obits for the rest of the Hiett's are available.
