William Veal - born about 1812-1813, died February 1862 in Johnson County, IL. He was married to Delila Ezell, August 24, 1837, Calloway County, license #724. Delila was born in 1839 in Henry County, Tennessee. William and Delila were parents of:

Newton J. Veal, born in 1842 (?)(served in Civil War in Company K 120 IL US INF. Enlisted in Johnson County on 8-14-1862, at Vienna. He had light hair, grey eyes and light complexion and was 5ft, 7in. tall per his Civil War record. Born in Calloway County. - Also listed in Co. K, 112th. INF) Died January 25, 1863.)
