In 1917 the government created a traing facility in Houston, TX, called Camp Logan. It supported up to 45,000 soldiers and they were all from Illinois, many from the Danville area. We are currently trying to preserve the history of Camp Logan and would love to know if anyone had ancestors who trained there. Copies of photos or letters would be super. You can email me at davedyer@mindspring.com
Thanks!
