Hi Tammy-
I've seen Adam and Abigail in Warren County listings. I think there were at least 2 lines of Ritcheys there. I believe Adam was rather a prominent man in the area. I don't know if my Anthony is related to him or not. I've learned a bit more about Anthony since my first posting. I realize you're looking for Adam, not Anthony, but in case someone else comes across this:
Anthony Ritchey (Rietschy) was born 1805 in Genis, France. He married Carolina Amalia Klauberg in Warren County in 1834. They had Anna Maria 1835-1852, Maria Louisa 1837-1879 (married Isom Robertson), Anthony Jr. 1839-1922 (married Helen Amelia Baker & moved to Indianola, Iowa), Lucetta Amalia 1841-1866, Augusta Malvina 1842-1870, Charles Henry 1844-1876, and Frederic William 1847-1848. The first 2 children were born in NY, the rest in Warren County.
Anthony (Sr.) was a blacksmith, and died 1849 in Floyd Twp. Carolina Amalia never remarried.
Good luck with Adam. If you're just starting out and would like some website addresses to look at, let me know.
