HARRY POLING DIES SATURDAY MORNING
Harry F. Poling, 74, of 104 South 10th street, lifelong resident of Adams county, died at 5:45 a.m. Saturday at the Adams county memorial hospital, where he had been a patient five days. He had been in failing health for one year and critically ill for five days.
Mr. Poling served for 19 years as stationary engineer at the Lincoln school until his retirement.
Born in Adams county March 5 1890, he was a son of Levi and Mary Bender-Poling. His wife, the former Estella M. Roop, preceded him in death Nov. 18, 1960.
Mr. Poling was a member of the Decatur E. U. B. church (Trinity) and the Maccabees.
Surviving are one son, Arthur L. poling of 615 Cleveland street; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One sister is deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Trinity E. U. B. church, with the Rev. Fuhrman P. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the Winteregg-Linn funeral home until 12 noon Tuesday, when the body will be removed to the church to lie in state until time of the services.
