Nathan Eugene Melchi, 84, a resident of Brighton Hall Nursing Center, New Haven, and a former resident of 1016 Russell St., died at 6:40 a.m. today at his residence. Arrangements are pending at Zwick-Boltz & Jahn Funeral Home.

Services for Nathan Eugene Melchi, 84, 1016 Russell St., who died Friday, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Zwick -Boltz & Jahn Funeral Home, Rev. Kenneth Mishler officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Sunday. Memorials are to Meals on Wheels.
A patient at Brighton Hall Nursing Center, New Haven, since Oct. 17, 1986, he retired from the Decatur General Electric Co. in 1967 after 39 years of service. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club.
Born in Leo on May 19, 1902, he was the son of Nathan G. and Allie Shaw-Melchi, and was married to Beatrice E. Peterson on Oct. 27, 1923; she died April 17, 1982. Survivors include four children, Eugene N. Melchi, Fort Wayne; Manfred (Pete) Mechi, Route 2, Fremont; Mrs. Lewis (Bonnie) Schnepp, Fort Wayne; Floyd (Buster) Melchi, Remington; two sisters, Mary North, Winter Haven, Fla., and Elsie Stetler, Orland; one brother, Woodrow Melchi, Angola; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and eight brothers are deceased.
