At the time of the 1850 census he was 37 years old. The “John A.” residing with Rachel and her family was 18 according to the census.
5. I suspect that this John A. was born in Dearborn County, Indiana and is a cousin of Rachel. I have been unable to prove parentage of John A. (DOB 12 Aug 1833) but I suspect that his mother was Hannah Buffington (maiden name unknown) and a Buffington husband whose given name is unknown.
6. Information regarding the relationship between Rachel Buffington Huffman and John A. Buffington (1833) could help me determine the parents of John A. I would appreciate any information you might provide.
