I am seeking information that will tie in John Hornbach, who was born in Greenbriar, Ohio in 1849, to the large Andrew Hornbach family in York township. John married Crescenzia Riedinger in Dearborn in 1875. He was not a son of Andrew and Franceska. His parents were Joseph Hornbach(1825-1912)? and Catherine Zinkhorn who were both born in Germany. They married in 1846. The John and Crescentia Hornbach family (children: Katherine, John H., Margaret, Charles J.,and Clara) lived in Dearborn Co. from the 1870's to around 1910 when they moved to Indy. I know they were acquainted with Carl Hornbach (1847-1918, a son of Andrew) because I have a funeral card for him. I am thinking they were cousins but have no proof since I have not been successful in tracing Joseph Hornbach or Catherine Zinkhorn back any further. Relatives by marriage would be Steinmetz (Mary Hornbach) and Hammerle (Katherine Hornbach). John H. Hornbach died in 1908 and is buried in St. Martin's Cemetery. Does anyone know how the Hornbach families are connected?
