Elizabeth Warren was born in Hatfield township, Montgomery county. Pa., May 30, 1822 and died at Corunna, DeKalb county, Ind. Jan. 7, 1907, aged 84 years, 7 months and 8 days. With her parents she moved from Montgomery county, Pa. to Mahoning county, Ohio. In the year 1839 she was united in marriage to John McKee. They moved to Allen county, Ind., and here in 1853, at the age of 31 her husband died.
She remained a widow until 1858 when she was united in marriage to John Detrick who died in 1864. She came to Corunna, Ind. in 1868 and lived her until her death.
To the first union, 8 children were born, 4 sons and 4 daughters, six of whom survive her, one son and one daughter preceding her in death. To the second union there were born two daughters both of whom survive.
Jacob , John and Allen of Corunna, Ind., Mrs. Martha McKee Young and Mrs. Violetta McKee Burkhart of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Minerva McKee Wise of Auburn, Mrs. Sarah Detrick Smith and Mrs. Mabel Detrick Lafontaine of Chicago, Ill., besides these there remain to mourn their loss 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of friends who sympathise with the children in the loss of a kind and loving mother.
Funeral service were held from the house Thursday Jan. 10, Rev. C. A. DeBow of the Corunna M. E. church officiating with interment at Corunna cemetery.
