Joseph Bartlett Mc Kee was the son of Joseph Howe and Lucinda (Bartlett) Mc Kee of Franklin twp. Owen cunty Indiana nearest towns were Famers Station and Freedom.

He and his family has been a mystery since I started the family history in 1976 - this is what I have come up with over the years - little by little. I have the ancestors and descendants of Joseph Howe - there is work yet to be done on them.

He is listed on page 76 of the Combined Atlases of Knox County, Indiana 1880-1903. "C. E. McKee" , blacksmith and horse-shoer. Born in Freedom, Indiana February 20, 1873, son of J. B. and M. E. (Raper) McKee who are still living.
