I recently found an old Caswell-Runyan cedar hope chest in my mother's attic. The top inside of the chest has a paper that's printed with the words "Treasure Chest, $100.00 dollars, Moth Damage Garantee and more discription. The catalogue number is 3008, No. 9 tray, lot no. B-41. I would appreciate anyone who would have any knowledge of its age or estimated current value. I have found the webpage about the history of Caswell-Runyan with a picture of a hope chest that closely resembles the one I have. Anyway, I am hoping someone my have some knowledge that they could impart. Thanks for any help.
