I am trying to research where in Portland, Indiana Rural Route 1 was located and if the route is still there. I am not from Indiana and I am not familiar with the RRs. I looked at a route map but I had trouble reading it. It doesn't come up on google. My great grandfather listed this as his address with a box number in 1942. This is the last record that has ever been located of him so I am trying to find out where this was.
