I am trying to verify that Jefferson G. B. LASH who was born in KY? and died in IA is the same Jefferson G. B. LASH that is the son of James LASH, grandson of Adam LASH.
The source that I have is: Family Records of Johnson Co., IN, Vol. 4, D.A.R., page 244-249

Adam LASH born about 1738 in PA and died after Sept. 1825 in Johnson Co, IN. Adam was a soldier of the American Revolution who went from PA to OH and then to Bartholomew Co, IN. His pension claim states that he had four children, two sons and two daughters. The sons were Henry and James and the names of the daughters were not stated.
Adam’s son:
James LASH b. in PA and died 12 May 1839 at the age of 42 years (b. about 1797)
James’ son:
Jefferson G. Lash has no birth date given but his sister Nancy LASH was b. Nov 25, 1814. My J.G.B. LASH was born about 1811 which fits except it means James was about 14 when J.G.B. was born. According to the source, James was 17 when Nancy was born, so he was young. I am thinking that James could have been born earlier than 1797 because Adam would have been 59 at the time of James’ birth unless it was earlier. That would also make James older when his children were born.

I am looking for information my great-great-great-grandfather, Jefferson G. B. LASH who moved to Iowa from Indiana. He was born about 5 Jan 1811 in Kentucky (according to census) and died in Mahaska County, Iowa on 5 Aug 1873 and is buried in the Olivet Cemetery in Leighton, Mahaska Co, IA
The 1840 United States Federal Census for Johnson County, Indiana has a Jefferson G. LASH listed with an age 20-30 which fits.
The 1850 United States Federal Census for Franklin Township, Johnson County, Indiana has a Jefr. G. B. LASH, age 39.
The 1860 United States Federal Census for Sigourney P.O.; Van Buren Township, Keokuk County, Iowa has J.G.B. LASH, age 49, with a 1-year old son named Isaac who is my great-great-grandfather.
