I was at the Warsaw Library today looking up obits for other people, Edwin Higbee, died on June 26, 1920, it is stated in the rootsweb obit date is July 1, 1920, the obit date is June 26, 1920, on July 1, 1920 a small paragraph states who attended his funeral.

His wife Olive died Nov. 30, 1934 I checked the microfilm for the dates Nov. 30 through Dec. 7 and still have not found her obit. Supposedly it is in the Dec. 5, 1934 paper. I spent a few hours reading each page so I would not miss it.

This is just two that I came across today, I know I several others.


This is why I don't charge people who ask me to look up obits, it normally takes longer to find them, because the obit dates aren't right. I enjoy looking them up, I always come across some I've been looking for.
