Hello, I am searching for more information on PICKNER surname from Bohemia. There is no location given in any records, just that they were from "the Kingdom of Bohemia". The wife's name was MARKUS. The name was likely originally spelled PICHNER.

JOHN (JOHAN) S. PICKNER b. ca.1835
ANNA R. MARKUS b. ca. 1837

Children
ANNA ~1856
CAROLINE ~1866
WENSEL ~1866
FRANZ ~1863

Johan (John) S. Pickner (b. ~1835) came to American ~1863 from Bohemia, possibly later-- with his children Anna, Joseph, Wenser and Francis. An entry on a manifest for the Kosmos out of LeHavre arriving May 1867 might be him.
The family settled in time for the 1870 census, where he is listed with his family in Crown Point, Lake County, Indiana.
He reportedly works away from home and is killed in 1872? in a sawmill accident somewhere in Illinois. In 1879 a paper in Indiana posts notice they will be auctioning off his land and other goods to settle debts. So he may not have been sent home for burial in Indiana. He may have been buried where he died in Illinois.

I'm looking for anything really to help find out where he died and is buried, or any other information as we also have nothing on him prior to his arrival in the US.
