I am not related to the previous families listed on this thread, but do have research to find my husband's g-grandfather's family who immigrated from Poland in 1890s. His g-grandfather was Wilhelm Friedrich Kukuk (Kuckuck) b. 1832. He married Amelia Boehm in a Lutheran church in a small town near Konitz, either Paglau or Butzindorf. She was from this area, but the church records say Wilhelm was 'from the area', a very vague description. He may have joined the service and was transplanted or transplanted when borders of Germany changed, etc. Other related families were: Fenske, Koehn, Ristau, Dobrinsky.
They first settled near Geneso, IL. Any help appreciated.
