Surnames: Vandevender, Wilson, Adams, Trumbo, Mills
I have Dempsey as the son of William D. and Sarah Wilson Vandevender. He was born @1842 in IN and died 14 Sep, 1900 in Madison County, IN of TB. He is buried in the Gilmore Cemetery. His wife was Sara E. Adams, born @1849 in IN, died 15 Nov, 1897 in Madison County, IN, and is also buried in Gilmore. William D. Vandevender was the son of Adam and Elizabeth (Trumbo or possibly Mills) Vandevender, who first settled the land in Anderson, Madison County that the family owned until the mid 1950's. Bear in mind, my information may not be exact, but I'm sharing what I have. Some of the information is from the county and it was difficult for the transcribers to read the old handwriting, but I think most of it is pretty accurate. Hope this helps.
