FRANK M. KREUTZER
Frank M. Kreutzer, 56, former well-known Peru resident, died at his home, 11333 Prairie avenue, Chicago, Tuesday, after a week's illness of pneumonia. He was a native of this city and resided here until 1935 when he moved to Louisiana, Mo. and later to Chicago.
During his residence here, Mr. Kreutzer was associated with the Julius Falk Clothing Co. and the Redmon Basket Company. In 1940, he moved from Missouri to Chicago, where he accepted a position as chief accountant for the Hatten Furniture Company, which operates a chain of stores in Chicago.
He was born in Peru, August 13, 1888, the son of John J. and Rose (Baumgartner) Kreutzer. He was married October 10, 1910, to Emma Rothermel, of Logansport and she survives. He was a member of the Catholic church and the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving in addition to the wife are tweo daughters, Rosemary McCall, Chicago, and Mrs. Alice Ann Donovan, of Washington state; three grandchildren; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Kreutzer, of Peru, four sisters, Sister Rose Marguerite, of the Sisters of Providence, Fort Wayne; Mrs. James Batig, South Bend; Mrs. Thomas Grady, Springfield, Ill; Miss Mary Elizabeth Kreutzer, Peru, and six brothers, Rev Robert F. Kreutzer, C. Ss. R. of Denver, Colo.; Capt. Victor Kreutzer, C. Ss. R., chaplain with the Army Air Corps and now stationed in England; John B., Carl B., and Clement J. Kreutzer, Peru. Two brothers, Dr. J. A. Kreutzer and Leo Kreutzer, and one sister, Eloise, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted from St. Charles Catholic church Saturday at 9 a. m., with a solemn requiem high mass. The Rev. Robert F. Kreutzer, C. Ss. R., will officiate, and he will be assisted by the Rev. Paul A. Welsh and the Rev. Sylvester Klein. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. The body was expected to arrive in Peru Friday afternoon and it will be taken to the Allen funeral home where friends may call until time for the funeral services at the church.
