Diana,
Not related, but could it possibly be the Davenport family who lived in the house? There was a Lucien & Mary Davenport family in the 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880 & 1900 Peru, Miami Co., IN. In the 1880 & 1900 census, they are living in Ward 3, Peru at 20 E. 6th St.
