Further research shows that this Russell Ellis of Crawfordsville was a son of Daniel B. and Mary Ellis, and he had a sister, Gladys, born in 1902. Daniel was born in 1874 and lived through 1930 in Crawfordsville. He divorced Mary, before 1910 and she went to live in Indianapolis. Russell and Gladys were listed twice in the 1910 census. Daniel was a son of William C. Ellis, (born in 1844 and died before 1910) and Mary B.(born about 1853). Daniel lived in his parents' home apparently until his mother died between 1920 and 1930. Can anyone identify Russell - I would like to verify his WWII service information and get him recognition for being a casualty of WWII as I had indicated in my first message. Thank you!
